KIT INCLUDES:

• ALL 1 3/8" diameter, 16 gauge,  galvanized steel tubing (hoops/bows) 

               4’ hoop spacing with 10 ft ceiling (12 ft on 24' wides)

• Ground stakes-1 3/8" steel​

• 3 steel purlins 

          Stretch the full length of the greenhouse

          Offers connection points for all hoops

• Wind braces  

• Clear, 6 mil, 4 year UV protected poly film (Covers top and both ends)

• Hardware for attachments

• Cross bracing on every hoop 

• Wiggle wire channel for base and end walls

• Inflator fan (to separate the two layers of film)

  Ground cover (in picture) and 2x4s for the perimeter base and end walls

End walls are available for your customization.  Drive through doors, windows, or solid, kits can be adapted to fit your specific needs.

**Shipping Information:

We offer FREE terminal to terminal shipping (*Continental US only).  We use freight terminals in order to ship to the terminal nearest you for pickup at no additional cost to you.  Your greenhouse will arrive on an 8 ft long x 4 ft wide x 3 ft tall pallet. The terminal will load the pallet onto your trailer for you.  The steel is bundled so that it may be hand-unloaded upon reaching your final destination.

**Buyer must either pick up kit or make arrangements with the terminal within 1 day of being contacted from the terminal with notification that kit is ready. Not picking up kit within this time frame may result in late fees, storage fees, or ultimately return of kit to Greenhousekits1 at buyers’ expense. In this scenario, buyer will also be responsible for 20% re-stock fee and any damage occurred during travel back to Greenhousekits1.

Benefits of the Double-Layer Film System

The double-layer inflated film system has emerged as a notable advancement. Efficiency is a crucial factor for small farmers, who often work with limited resources and must maximize every aspect of their operation. This system, characterized by two layers of plastic film separated by a layer of air, offers numerous benefits that enhance the efficiency, productivity, and sustainability of greenhouse operations. Our Four-Season Package is designed to enhance efficiency in several key areas:

• Insulation and Energy Efficiency

One of the main advantages of a double-layer inflated film system is its better insulation. The air pocket created between the two layers of film acts as an insulative barrier, significantly reducing heat loss from the greenhouse or high tunnel. This added insulation helps maintain more stable temperatures, in turn, reducing the need for additional heating. As seasons change and temperatures drop, less energy is required to maintain optimal growing conditions due to this system. In contrast, traditional single-layer films are less effective at insulating, leading to greater heat loss and increased heating expenses.

• Regulating Temperature 

Plant health and productivity relies heavily on temperature regulation. The double-layer system included with our Four Season Kit helps to moderate temperature fluctuations by providing a buffer against external temperature changes, allowing plants to experience fewer extreme temperature variations.  The result of a more regulated consistent temperature enhances plant growth and development. Furthermore, the stable environment also reduces plant stress, improving overall crop yields and quality. 

• Light Diffusion-Wait, it’s a good thing!

Although light diffusion is a consistent concern (will my plants still get enough sunlight with two layers of film?), it surprises many to learn that the double-layer inflated film system can actually be a benefit with regards to light by improving light diffusion within the greenhouse. Light is scattered more effectively by the air gap between the two layers of film than a single-layer film.  This effect can lead to more uniform light distribution, allowing for plants to receive optimal light exposure, promoting healthier growth. This more even distribution of light can reduce the incidence of shading and light stress. Improved light diffusion can enhance photosynthesis, leading to stronger and more vigorous plants.

• Structural Integrity and Durability

The double-layer, air inflated film system offered with the Four Season kit also adds to the buildings structural integrity and durability. The inflated air pocket creates a cushioning effect that can absorb some of the stresses that would otherwise be endured directly by the film. This added support reduces the likelihood of film tearing or damage from environmental factors such as wind, snow, or hail. • Interior Moisture Reduction

Ever close the door to a greenhouse or high tunnel and have it “rain” on you?  Condensation can be a significant issue in greenhouses.  To much moisture can lead to problems such as blocking valuable light and even fungal diseases.  The double-layer inflated film system helps to creates a stable and controlled microclimate by lessening the moisture. The insulating effect from the two layer system reduces the temperature differential between the inside and outside of the greenhouse, which lowers the likelihood of condensation forming on the inside. Reducing this condensation not only helps to maintain plant health but also contributes to a more efficient and hygienic growing environment.
